Obesity Epidemic

Over 66% of American's are considered obese. At our current trends of increasing weight gain as a population, experts predict by 2022 over 80% will be overweight. Plus obesity is one of the leading causes of almost all major health problems:
  1. Heart disease
  2. Cancer
  3. Stroke
  4. Type II diabetes
  5. Sleep Apnea

Plus with current levels of obesity, it is estimated that this young generation will be the first whose life expectancy will be less than their parents. However this is ALL preventable. What are we each doing to make changes. Once we ourselves get healthy we can become examples and advocates for our children, grandchildren, friends, and neigbors.

First Event.

On Wednesday January 21 we had our first Take Shape for Life seminar. It was a great turnout and those that attended are on their way to healthy long term weight loss. Here is the story of my wife's cousin and how TSFL helped him. For more information and a FREE consultation call Melanie at 878-3304.

"Five years ago I had a Brain Hemorrhage. With this, came a lot of tests and a lot of bad news concerning my health: I weighed 255 and I was put on medication to control my blood pressure and my cholesterol. I decided to make a life change. For a year I was prohibited to exercise, I wish I had this program during that time. After that year I started my change. I worked out, I watched what I ate and I lost 30lbs during a 2 year period. Great, right? Well, I was still over weight and I was still on my medications. Then, I was introduced to Take Shape For Life. In two months I lost 35 lbs and I have kept it off ever since. I am off my medications and I am qualifying for medical insurances and life insurances which were never an option. I now weigh 190 and I feel healthier then eve" Chad Christen (pictures on the side)
